remember to adjust your clutch pedal, other wise you will kill the clutch.
Nice to hear that the looms are half way in, How did you find the wiring side of things? Took me about 3 days that was everything tested. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

Hi Procta
What do you mean adjust the clutch pedal? Do you mean the bolt on the front of the pedal box? I must confuss, i was just leaving it all as it was and then bleed it. I was very careful to ensure it all went back as it came out. Thanks for the heads up HK07 2007 90 Puma - Love it - Best car I have ever owned. 1989 Ninety 200tdi - Love it - Second best car I have ever owned. 1951 80" Series 1 - Love it - Third best car I have ever owned. |

Its the pedal height, the pedal height from the bottom of the clutch pedal to the bare floor needs to be 140mm. To adjust it, you will have to remove the top plate ( 6 screws)
Just a heads up mind, with you pulling it a part. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

Yes i had the whole assembly apart but i never adjusted the two locking nuts on the cylinder side of the thread running thru the top of the clutch pedal. I made sure to be careful that they stayed where they were.
I just took off the end nylock nut and withdrew the cylinder from the pedal. Upon reassembly i just reversed the process thinking i was leaving it all exactly where it was. What do you mean when you say i will kill the clutch? if the pedal isn't adjusted properly, it wont release the thrust bearing and it will destroy it and over heat the clutch. My dad made this mistake when he changed the master cylinder. id double check the pedal height. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
