I know, wants become needs when there is a saving to be made!
Or at least we can use that as the reason, ahem, excuse. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ðŸ‡®ðŸ‡ªðŸ‡ºðŸ‡¸â›½ï¸ðŸ›¢ï¸âš™ï¸ðŸ§°ðŸ’ª |

A piece of workshop equipment I want has been out of stock for about 18 months.
Now, just before Christmas, it's become available and I can't really afford it 'til after Christmas. Bet it'll be out of stock again by then. |

I know someone who Invigilates (supervises) these exams locally she was amazed at how many non English speaking candidates who had to have an interpreter passed the theory test with one or two incorrect answer. Being a bit inquisitive she did a bit of digging and found that they had all used the same interpreter , the centre holding the tests were informed and they had someone else sit the exam as a test of the integrity of the interpreter, it turned out he was telling the candidates which was the correct answer for a fee. All those candidates he had translated for had the tests voided. Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

Celebrity, non-professional chef, cook books. Just watching Sunday Brunch and Fern Cotton is releasing her second cook book and range of kitchen appliances. For why, for why? The UK is soooo obsessed by celebrity. If something for sale doesn't have a celebrity endorsement we seem unlikely to buy it. But at least relate it to someone with the skills and expertise of the subject matter. I wouldn't by a book on Defenders by Davina McCall just because she drives one. Monsieur Le Grenadier

Yep Grenadier ^ ^ ^ Spot on.
I would be more than surprised if any of these celebrities have had anything to do with the products they endorse, other than turning up for the publicity photo shoot and providing their bank account details in Caymane Islands. |

Albums are the new cookbook. Nick Knowles of BBC Extreme Makeover has released an album. As has Shane Ritchie, Anton du Beke of Strictly, Michael Parkinson etc etc. All getting more coverage and interviews than Robert Plant's new album Monsieur Le Grenadier

I have a new album out on Friday, my autobiography entitled "Left school, went to work - my life in five words" is a work in progress. I also have a diet plan "how I put on three stone eating pork scratchings" oh and nearly forgot - the hair spray - because I'm worth it. See you on Graham Norton show next week Who says the BBC doesn't allow advertising? |
