They are very nice. Best price I could find was Demontweeks via eBay. £26 or so.

Today I've used the Allen keys extensively, which is why I got them as I had a use for them coming up.
They are very well made, very strong and of course won't go all rusty. The colour coding is extremely useful, as it's so easy to mix them up and waste time messing around trying to get the right size out. Update on an eBay company I've been talking to recently. (Won't mention names here.)
They already sell both the Joker spanners in standard metric and the Switch version. The normal type you can buy as a full kit, or as I did individually to break up the cost a bit. (And you can get the pouch.) They do sell the Switch version as a full kit but not currently on their own or with a pouch on its own. I have asked them if they would and they said they would a few months ago, I asked again recently and they said they still will but Christmas coming so likely will be the new year. All the same, good to know. Although the Switch version is seriously expensive! I'd love to see a Torx version of the Allen key set as pictured in my post in previous postings also. Torx...I'd be keen also.
I expect they'll point you in the direction of the Zyklops sets in the meantime: Click image to enlarge I larger versions I think will crack up to the larger Defender-ish sizes. But I'd rather be using a proper 3/8, 1/2 drive torx directly on the square than via adaptor. Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants... Does anyone have any experience of the Zyklop metal 1/2" 3/8" and 1/4" ratchet and socket sets?

At the begin of this thread I was going to say get Snap on but looking at the Wera spanners they look very good also I like the colour code for size,now I have to wear glass's I can't see the size's on the polished spanners ,there is another make which is worth a look and that's Bahco ,I have a set of their adjustable spanners and my son has a 103 piece Bahco socket spanner set which is very good.

Bahco are pretty good too, I have one of their pruning saws. All together different subject that though.

Got the Bahco, Facom and Zyklop all in 1/4".
All great. Zyklop preferred because of the obvious extra functionality, a friend has the 1/2" Zyklop, solid stuff. Small plus, but the soft Wera folding pouches also win over the standard plastic stuff everything else comes in nowadays. Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants... |
