Any joiners? timber size for stud wall

I need to build a stud wall for an ensuite. I am happy with the build and how to put it all together, but I am confused (confused myself) about the timber size.

I ideally want to make the wall about 100mm thick to the finished plaster faces and I planned to use CLS. There will be a door in the wall - as far as I can see standard door frames are 115mm (which i could live with), so assuming I use 12.5mm plasterboard on both sides and allow 6mm for plaster skim (3mm each side) that leaves 84mm for framing. CLS comes in 63x38 and 89x38mm widths. Therefore 1 is too wide and the other is too narrow - assuming the edge of the door frame wants to be flush with the finish plaster (and then the facing on top).

So how do I do it - or am i missing something?

For 3x2 use 4 and a quarter lining and 4x2 5and a quarter lining or convert that to mm old school me

I am not a joiner but I used to have a laugh that at B&Q you used to be able to buy 2 meters of 4" x 2".............

2 x 9.5 mm plasterboard = 19mm
CLS = 89mm
plaster skim @3.5mm = 7mm (plasterers love it when you tell them to apply 3.5mm!)
= 115mm Now left.

4"x2" (100mmx50mm) or 3"x2" (75mmx5omm) both are perfectly adequate for a stud partition, don't forget the insulation.

I have just finished a stud wall in the bedroom, used 4x2 strengthened with ply on one side then 12mm plasterboard both sides.

As above + 100mm Rockwell insulation.
