Hence the (may) mine is tight to the rubber , the fitter might have been very cautious I needed to tidy the GPS & BlackVue wires any how
I'd rather the fitter ask than damage anything |

Sorry, Ken, I didn't mean to sound argumentative! I was trying to reinforce your "may" but probably chose my words poorly.

Nice! Curious about the grab handle, can it take the full weight of a person? Will it hamper ingress and egress? Where is it attached to? Where'd you get it? |

yes - it is bolted through to plate I attached to the inside lip [behind trim]. The handle was amongst my pile of old parts - Rover I think. No, it doesnt hamper access....

Sorry to drag up another old thread, but it seemd logical, rather than starting another, as just caught up on this one after having been looking at the MudStuff Console, which unfortunately did not come back in stock, coincidentally, until their recent discount finished...
After reading all the recommendations here, I have just ordered the new Black version for Ven's Keswick Special... Hopefully fitting will be a doddle for this numpty, although I am seriously tempted to have it done by the professionals, while they still have the Special in build... Rog... The GREEN One... I know the rear washer pipework and some wiring runs above the doors - near side or both? Does anybody have any advice for drilling the door frame and fitting the self tappers without risking damage to pipe/wiring? Hoping to fit mine sometime next eek.

The wires and rear wash pipe can be lifted away so the drill bit doesn't interfere with them.
May be worth using a bit of tape to hold them out of the way if you are doing the job solo! Sandy |

The joys of a 64 plate 110XS, I was hoping not to have remove some of the internal trim and open up the side of the headlining for access.

Maybe the first stage of the fitting instructions (fir tree removal) is to clear away the pipes and wires?
Thinking of getting one of these........is it easy to run extra wiring to the console? Can interior light circuit take any heavier loading? Just for phone/ipod charging. |

Moving the headlining to tape the wires and pipes out of the way was easy and fitting was straightforward, even without any help.
I didn't plumb in any extra electrics and not sure how much load you could put on the interior lamp cct as, although it's on a 10A fuse with lots of other stuff, the cabling is quite small. |

Hi Craig, Do you have a picture of the CM10 fitted? I am thinking of buying the MUD roof console to fit a Midland Alan 48 Pro that is W154 x H50 x D175 I am happy to cut the headlining but I wonder at what point the back of the unit will actually touch the skin of the roof? Cheers Yan |
