Could be that Slickshift may be at another LR Show that you may be visiting.
If so - ask them to drive your vehicle and give an opinion whether the operation of the shift is normal or not. If not - whether they could help to revert it to its previous position. The video may not be 100% the way it should be - I could actually remove the 2 metal parts apart quite easily - on the video this would not seem possible as you need to hammer them together to connect properly - not so in my case though. Overall I really enjoy the end result - and even to compare other vehicles to the Defender - which includes ordinary non4x4 sedans. |

Well I had another look at mine and took it all out and then refitted with a slicker grease. It seems to have made a difference and feels slightly easier to change gear now, although reverse is still a pain in the ass.
To be honest I still don't feel it was worth the £165 and I know I wouldn't bother buying another one for any other defenders I get, but its all down the personal preference really. |
