In responce to my original question DRL- not Bumpers The only reason I am considering them is that I have them on my company car (Vauxhall) where they use a seperate 21 watt DRL lamp or LED'.s on the high spec models And with all the mature (read OLD) people pulling out in front of my Black Defender I thought it may help, as it does on my black work car. And it sometimes speeds them up to 20MPH when you come up behind them with them on!

I don't think it will make any difference all they will see is an old slow Land Rover with lights on and will still pull out. (not saying that your Defender is old BTW) I'm just saying what they will see in their heads. Just the other day I was driving along quite happy approaching a junction, oh I had my lights on as I had gone through a few foggy patches. Anyway an old chap in beemer estate pulled up to the give way in front of him, he looked at me and pulled out, I was doing 50MPH and was about 100m from him. This happens so often we now take bets. The 130's don't have ABS so its great fun at times, leave the breaking as long as you can and then lock the wheels up. The look on their faces is priceless. 130's have feeling's as well you know |
