Yet, when you come to think of it, you can replace the forty-quids bumper 3 or 4 times before spending as much as the cost of a single one of those presumably better bumpers... that you will eventually bend anyway. |

Makes sense now!
But when you then add postage, VAT, time to remove, Time to refit, hassle, the fact that you will need to replace that at the same time as the ABS modulator at £1500 or similar - it wont be cheaper Plus....will you.. you may bend an expensive one (when you are really playing) but you can often straighten them a few times too Mike |

Unfortunetly I dont have the cash to throw £400 on a bumper which has some fancy lights which are not required in them. I was just stating a point that one could be made for £150 ish and would be just as good. After all your points are based upon hear say and opinion, no one has seen either bumper to judge its quality the bumper from TD5 alive could be the paddocks bumper with holes cut into it could it not? The bumper could also be made from a bit of 6mm channel, galved and then powder coated, would stand a fly hitting it and probabally a range rover, cost FA. |

I'm sure they would take more than that if you asked, then they would be rearly worth having,

Anyway - getting back to the topic heading...................
has anyone received a new Defender in Feb or March this year? I've just read that any new car or van registered after feb 2011 has to have DRL's fitted. Just ordered my new one and was wondering how LR have done it. |

I'll come in with you on the chrome wipers Andrew - look awesome, well worth £300 of anyone's money! I'd pay extra for their fly-proof qualities. Seriously though, we all choose to spend our money on whatever we want. Some people like the idea of DRL's, some don't, I wouldn't expect anything else. Otherwise we'd all be driving exactly the same Land Rover in exactly the same spec and colour, and where would be the fun in that? I don't think anyone should be expected to justify what they choose to spend their own money on - and I'm a Yorkshireman too! |

Just found this from the DfT
http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roads/vehicles/v...lights.pdf Looks like it only covers cars and light vans (car derived) and doesn't apply to current models. JK No the other left . . . |
