As tempting as that is...
Got to polish my new track fairings in the coming week and the Mrs car is due too; i will be all polshed for while after that! Takes about 5 hours but looking back it after makes it worth it and a good binding session tonapprciate its curves or lack of. |

I thought the ag wheel sealer wasn't meant to be used on black wheels? Ray

So i got some TruckLitr phase 2 LED headlights.
Been wanting them for years and finally pulled the plug after driving in the dark at the minute with the terrible standard headlights. They really are great at night and look much cleaner at the front. Also put the car to used and harrowed the local manage. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

No problem with mine at all - But that will be something with age, mileage and road conditions that assist in dropping the door.

my door frame has cracked in various places and the door skins come away. Only the force of the defender that's keeping the door together or rust Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Been a long time since posting but happy to say I still have my Defender and loving it as always.
First of all replaced the Bonnet badge with the genuine Land Rover Defender badge. Not much difference but you can tell if you know and the replica peeled so know this will last and it should for what it cost! Have replaced the side lights with Osram cool white versions to exactly match the TruckLites Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Moved to stainless steel screws and bolts all over. Starting with the headlight, grill side screws and slam panel. If you purchase floor panel screws they are the correct ones - I could never find the ones needed to replace them and took a long time to find them!

Purchased Naketenanga door bolts a while a go and finally found time to run round and replace all the rusty oem ones. Actually takes a while to Unscrew the original and put these. The hardest part is removing the paste from the bolt head edges!
Also managed to strip the torx centre on on and needed to get some kit to remove it. Took an hour but got that bolt out in the end! The biggest change though is adding Perei rear led lights. Travelling up to York and seeing the back of other Defenders it really shows how poor the standard rear lights are. Always wanted these for many years and finally did it 😁 Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |
