England 1989 Defender 110 V8 Petrol ST Bronze Green
converting to power steering
Hi I have just brought a ex military 110 v8 3.5Lts on carbs 1989, was originally lhd but at sometime been converted to rhd, would like to have power steering and wondered whats involved, what's the best way to obtain the parts necessary. Cheers Steve.

Should just be a case of fitting the steering box and engine driven pump with the hoses to connect the two.

I think it took a bit more effort on a Series 3, but on a coil sprung vehicle it should all just bolt on.

The only issue you might have is if the military had something else fitted on the engine where the pump usually goes, like a compressor or second alternator etc
