If my dealer told me they were going to re-use the old oil, I would have told them not to start the job and I'd have booked it in at a different dealer. Unless of course they were going to chuck the old oil in a workshop space heater or something similar.
I can't imagine for one second the LR recall sheet instructs them to use the old oil. |

Gracie was "done" last week, along with her B service, all very opportune, didn't have to pay for oil & filter.

Hi. Recently got a 2 year old 110 utility within vin range from a main deal, is there an easy way to check the recall has been addressed? Being from a main dealer you'd hope, but best to check
![]() Going to look under tomorrow, see if sump looks newish, but is low milage so might not be that obvious. |

Best to check with your dealer, they can check the system & give you certainty.

Will do thanks. Just wasnt sure if there was a part number viasable that would show it's been done. But as you say, best get direct from them to be sure.

Just called my dealer, and asked them to check if my car was due the recall they said yes... when i asked why they did not carry it out whilst it was in their garage they said 'because i never asked....?'
I recommend that if you have a 2.2 just phone your dealer and quote Q$"! recall and they have to check. |

No need to call dealer just register on Topix with your VIN and it will show whether there are any outstanding service actions.

Thanks, Topix = No Outstanding Field Service Actions - so I presume it was done by previous owner/deal before I purchased

Do we know if TOPIx will show the campaign even if it's expired? I'm wondering if TOPIx now doesn't show the Q421 campaign as it's ended, so when you login and check your VIN it appears as though the work is not needed, whereas it actually is?

It should still show it, it has all the TSB's on there.

unless i'm looking in the wrong place, I don't think so. I see this on the home page. But local dealers can't tell me if the work has been completed already, or not. They just say it's not needed and that not all VINs in the range are affected.
