Hi!
It's a '94 300Tdi Defender 110 with salisbury axle on the rear, VIN is SALLDHMF8MA945212. I can't decide which brake calliper do I have on the rear?! Please help! Is it the STC1268/STC1269 or the SMC500260/SMC500270? Or something different? Thanks! Regards. Left: Click image to enlarge Right: Click image to enlarge |

Thank you! Is there a sure way to tell it? Thinking of measuring the disc diameter, as somewhere I've read one uses a 290 and the other a 298mm disc?
Wondering also if they're retrofittable? I think I'll have to buy new calippers as they seem to be in a not a very good condition, and would go with the better one if possible.. |

The calipers are retrofittable... On my 110 I now have the later newer "rover" type axle, and it fitted the older calipers off of my salisbury. they bolted straight on, just needed to use the thinner pads.
I think the discs were the same as well, I can't remember now. 110 has very thick rear discs... thinner ones will more than likely be for a 90. |
