In anticipation for the oncoming heatwave..... I have just took the hood off.
I must admit, it looks better with it on, but we're gonna try it. There's a cars n coffee meet one night this week, I may go mingle with 'sick whips'! |

Just came back from D44 today, to have my new 255 width KM2's fitted.
I had 235's fitted on before. Had a bit of a job to get the bead to set as the inner rim edge of the tyre's were close due to storage. ( I haven't stored them long myself.) They do vary though. The chap did a good job, and worked hard. Used ratchet straps on a couple of them in the end just to widen them a little to inflate. Very pleased with them, looks nice too. (And without visible weights!) Whilst I was there I took a photo for you all of the vehicle D44 had worked on I believe for Pantopic Motion or something like that. Finally got a chance to replace the AC condenser fan. Unplugged the old one last year, it ran constantly instead of going off when the AC was shut off. Bearing in the motor squeaked constantly.... so nice to hear the new one whirring away quietly on a hot day.

Discovered a hole in my passenger side side step tubing.
Can't complain at nearly 10 years old, wanted to Dinitrol but too far gone before I even got the chance. XS style with larger tube here we come at some point. Not sure when I'll get that sorted though, anyone got any recommendations? KEEP CALM AND Drill ON 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

I had the same experience, therefore I had the new set galvanised (from new) before powdercoating. Cheers, Vincent

Having purchased a Sealey spark plug thread cleaner / restorer I used it on no.8 cylinder in situ.
Excellent tool and saved taking head off http://www.sealey.co.uk/PLPageBuilder.asp?...ctid=15528 |

Borrowed a tractor with a front loader to lift my new chassis round to the old one and realised that the tractor will no fit through the gate .
Then realised that my big trailer is in Wales and my other trailer has my 110 cab on it, so i'm scuppered. |

Cleaned the inside, dash and interior glass yesterday, rained most of today.
Washed the outside this evening. Tomorrow Meguiars clay bar, glaze, hand wax, tyre gel / shine. Waiting on a spanner to adjust my steering lock stops, should be the end of the week or so. KEEP CALM AND Drill ON 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Discovered some play in the steering. N/S front steering ball joint has some play. So to be on the safe side, I have ordered a set of 3 and will have all done (to be sure) 1999 Defender TD5 110
