Indeed!

I've just been looking up the MAF: 6C1112B579AA
It appears that multiple manufacturers make it.

There is no manufacturer mentioned on the MAF unlike the MAP.

I've seen Hella as a manufacturer for the same type.
Mine has UK printed on it so assume its UK manufactured...

There is a company on eBay that ha some for the same P/N and UK based and claims to be ISO standard.

Ford shops I've seen are £180 genuine, even more than LR I think. Shocked

The MAP sensor is much easier to locate as P/N's and manufacturer are printed on it.

Cheers, it's 4 pin with right angle style.
It's not the later type with an aero dynamic style.

Will report back when I hear from Dan. Thumbs Up Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes.

A little update on this after a week or so.

After cleaning both sensors all has been good and performance is back to full power. Mr. Green
No issues at all and the bridged clutch switch has thrown up zero issues and makes for a better drive.

I've heard back from Dan @ Duckworth parts ref genuine prices.
I more or less got it bang on correct:

MAP LR022164 £115.48inc vat
MAF MHK501040 £109.00inc vat

Shocked

You can get these parts from the actual OE. Manufacturer for around £65 total for both. Whistle

Well, in the end I didn't replace as of yet anyway. But the cleaning did the world of good! Performance is tip top again and running sweet. My guess is the gunked MAP was the main culprit. Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes.

Doing this again today a year on. No where near the contamination it had last year.
Worthwhile doing once a year in my book. Keeps performance tip top. ðŸ‘🻠Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes.

Nice one Thumbs Up

120..... Now that's a serious mark up!

I must say I've never asked the price from LR, that's probably why Shocked

If you want to see markup, I've just replaced the MAP sensor on my Mini, I bought a genuine MG-Rover one for £78, RRP is £150. However Land Rover also use the same sensor on the D1 2ltr MPi, Freelander 1.8 and the AC system of the D2. Exact same sensor, they even still use the Rover Group part number MHK100600 - £340 from Land Rover!

Really is beyond a joke isn't it.

I'd be inclined myself to stick to Bosch part numbers myself as they definitely are the manufacturer.
Failing that LR or Ford but you will get the price tag applicable and manufacturer could differ. Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes.

I'm with you on this one Steve. I always give the MAP and MAF (TD5) clean using the same method as you once a year as part of the service. They're generally not that dirty, and even if there's an element of placebo on my part, it costs nothing and makes me feel better!

Following your lead, I took pics of both and I'll post them shortly as it may help others. They are probably both the originals.

It is that time of the year - annual service before I head south for the family hols - but I must stop tinkering as I just changed my drive belt this morning and the tensioner has now given up the ghost!

It was the fuel pump last week Evil or Very Mad

Cheers,

Will

Yes, by all means add up info on the TD5 too.
Mines a 2.4.

They are the original sensors on mine, no issues so cleaning does the job fine.
