I wouldn't worry about looking for any other problem, until your injectors are coded correctly,
Especially if you know they aren't. Did they get replaced at some point? 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

I had an injector relearn done a couple of years ago after returning the map to standard, then reinstalled the BAS remap afterwards.
Sad to say the vehicle sounded much noisier after that was done. I've got used to it, vehicle performs well especially when towing our small van and there seems to be no problems developing. Seems to me to be just an horrible noisy of an engine and I've never ever heard a Transit or Ford Ranger with the same engine making the same noises. Is it something LR have done? AlanH. |

Your right Alan, the Transits sound much nicer, not as harsh as they are in a Defender,
Apart from a bit of sound deadening around the bulkhead in the Transit there is not much difference? 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

dgardel I'm almost 100% sure it's related to injector coding/ learning as although my diagnostic tool said no process had completed, on the way to work this morning it was noticeably better, maybe just the process of clearing everything has done something..
I have been in touch with dynachip this morning to see if he will come and sort it out. I'll let you know how it goes |

Afternoon,
I had similar symptons a few years ago, engine sounding very clacky mainly from cold, and under load. Anyway took it into my dealers they updated ECU firmware, and ran injector pilot learn, and this resolved problem. Occasionally, mainly on very cold mornings, it sounds clacky for a while until it warms up, some say 2-stoke helps with this, though have never tried it, hope you get sorted mate |

OK, so i've been in touch with Mike from Dynachip and before he can do his thing i need t get the latest software update. That should be fun!
Anyone know what the latest version would be for a 2011 2.4 110 DCPU? The version installed now is 7H12-12K532-EDD. I just want to make sure they actually do it! |
