Hello
That is very common Tdci defender problem. I had same kind of issues with my car. I don't know why but it seems that problem solved when I removed Mantec snorkel. Next time if the car goes to "limp mode" I'll buy an bigger intercooler. |

First question, do you have aircon?
The aircon fitted defenders seem to have this problem. The first thing you should look at is how high the temp is before going into limp mode. This seems to be the most common cause for this problem. Whilst driving use a nano com or for i.e. icarsoft (which i use) and look at the temp. when it reaches 109 c it will go into limp mode. If this is the case there are 2 reasonable cheap ways (for the links see below) to correct this and one very expensive a new allisport radiator. https://www.nakatanenga.de/fahrzeugtechnik...fter?c=147 http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/PEM100990G Goodluck from Holland a defender from 1984 pretending to be a puma with a touch of Range Rover |
