??? What Has Gone Wrong???
So driving on duel carriageway yesterday, approaching roundabout, went to change down and clutch peddle chose to remain on the floor.

Managed to get round the roundabout without stopping and pull into safety.

Cylinder seems to have required level of fluid, no recent works done and no leaks underneath but peddle inoperative and stays on floor unless lifted no then still no sense of engagement.

This is on a 2007 2.4 110 CSW.

Ideas please.

Mine was about to go. (I had pulled the box off due to another issue)

I dont know the 'real' age of our drivetrain, as it was from a Disco, so yours may be different. (just edited this in)

I had exactly the same problem a few years ago whilst touring in Germany. Needed a new master clutch cylinder.

The Puma's don't have a fork at all, they have a concentric slave cylinder.

Sounds like the master cylinder has failed to me, it's an old design, basically the same one used on series 3's and various other 60/70's era BL products. They're not unknown to fail unexpectedly

Initial thought was the fork from memories of the 300 but a quick search showed up that change.

No fluid to be seen after a good look around.

happened to me, was getting intermittent clutch pedal going to the floor, it was the master cylinder seals.

Given you can get branded after market ones for £25 i wouldn't bother messing about changing seals.

Mine did the same, changed master myself, worked for a week then back to the floor.

Changed slave at shop, which is a much bigger job so changed clutch while in there. Problem solved.

Lots of prior discussion in the forums.. Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants...

When the master fails all the muck from the failed seals ends up in the slave cylinder when you bleed it out, so it then kills that too.

I think half the problem is while Brake fluid tends to get replaced or at least tested every couple of years, the only time clutch fuild gets changed is when something fails.
