Seapod, the 265x65R18 have the same rolling diameter so no problem running them. The wheel offset will effect the amount of splatter up the sides. I'm running spacers for a better turning circle giving it a wider stance but have also fitted Glynn Lewis mudflap extensions which do an excellent job of keeping the sides clean. A lot of other people use Dirt-D-Fenders, which help with the splatter. I have a set for the rear but m yet to fit them. James

Thanks James - I have been checking out your Defender after you posted above. Very nice indeed - you have already done many of the things I plan to do.
Are you still running the original wheels ie 235/85/16 ? I see you have spacers added, hence the extended mud flaps, but wasn't quite clear on the tyres themselves. |

Thank you Seapod, yes running standard 235x85r16 on boosts et33 with 30mm spacers. Hope to change wheels soon but think I'll stick with 16" but probably 265x75r16... James

Yannis - looks great and I believe they're Startech wheels, but would be useful for everyone to add what wheels and tyres they are and what sizes James

Correct they are from JE engineering. Tyres are Atturo R800 285/60R18.
Here is a comparison to the factory setup. The on road grip is unreal, they also reduce roll in the corners a lot due to a smaller side wall. No difference in conform over bumps etc. Terrible in snow. Yet to test on mud. Click image to enlarge |
