Typical Corbynite. The man himself is a puppet, he's been sat on the backbenches for 30odd yrs, milking the very system he claims to despise. He's been elevated to Leader because McD, Milne and Lansmann have used him to dupe the envy-driven SJW's into joining up and voting for him. Abbott, Thornberry and Baroness Shami are seizing the opportunity of self-enrichment and the rest of the shadow cabinet seem to have no more idea than your typical 6th form GCSE politics student. A total waste of time, shocking in that (even though I'm a True Blue Tory voter) I believe there is absolutely no credible opposition to HMG, and there should be. On the plus side, I'm looking forward to seeing the faces of the Lefty "intelligentsia" when the penny finally drops that he's bogus and they've been conned. |

Bloody eBay descriptions! I'm on the look out for a pair of front doors for my 90 and it's ridiculous how many are described as 'good condition' apart from the small detail of rusted out bottom rails. In what parallel universe is that 'good condition'?? I've already got two like that and they're not in good condition

Walked down the drive this morning to open the gate to get the 90 out. Snapped key off in the padlock. Damnation will have to use the shopping trolley out from other side. Took it gently down the side roads down to warehouse to get more suitable vehicle out.
Now decided on a battery version of Mr Angry as I did not like the idea of a mains Mr Angry on a daisy chain of extension leads in wet snowy conditions. Good excuse for a new toy 
So off to that fixing shop to buy a battery Mr Angry, new padlock and top up our box of cable ties. Paid for Mr Angry and battery and before leaving ask if a battery charger was included. Errr no. Lad checked for me and they do not sell that battery charger 
Can buy a charger off ebay, which of course would not solve todays problem. Refunded for battery etc and got the largest extension lead. So back to warehouse picked up mains angry and some more extension leads so back home. Up the hill and then wonder what was happening. Basically an AA van having to back down the hill whilst other cars did multipoint turns to come back down the hill. 110 went straight up the hill a car followed fish tailing up the hill. A right turn and car went sideways, a left turn and car going sideways, through the bends car fishing tailing. Half a mile straight level road and car fish tailing all the way and he went sideways through final last corner. Why do cars insist on going down narrow minor country roads when they can use the clear main roads OK might be 2 miles longer but much safer. Stone walls take no prisoners ! Brendan |

That gets my goat, but what get my goat more is the drivers who park up in the passing places to go for a ramble and whats worse is they park about four foot from the wall so they can open the bloody passenger or driver’s door. I have thought of printing a few notices with not so polite comments and sticking it on their windscreens with super glue, but then realised that the selfish sods probably can’t read. I love what I call 'yellow laning' (OS colour), albeit in my Land Rover so I can see over ther dry stone walls. I can cruise along at walking speed enjoying the view without annoying people on main roads. If someone does want to pass I can pull over at the next gateway or passing place. Does that make me a 'nuisance'?  |

'Yellow Laning" an expression I have never heard off before.
If done sensibly then no problems. Our local minor road in the last serious snow fall had 6 abandoned cars in a quarter of a mile. Farmyard at end had a 2 metre hole in it after a car went sideways around the bend. Cost the farmer and not the car insurance company! A Range Rover needed a new front bumper etc after going straight into gatepost only took a few stones taken off the wall. Lower minor but longer road had 15 cars abandoned for up to 3 weeks. Mainly used by people who know the local minor roads but do not appreciate the conditions and are not prepared to use the clear main roads as that means an extra 2 but much safer miles. Another local minor but steep road I tend to avoid if I suspect sheet ice. When I next go down it, count the wing mirrors bumpers and new colour scraps on the wall. Essex drivers can come off the road in any conditions, they don't need snow, ice, fog or any hazard at all. I get at least one a year through my front fence. Bambi decides to jump in front of my company car last night on the way home and wrecks the bumper, meaning a claim on our company policy. Fine, but why should this then mean my personal motor insurance gets hiked at renewal as a result? 23 years without a single accident and then through no fault of my own I have to pay more

It doesn't matter which insurer I go with, when they ask "have you made any claims in the past 3 years?" I will have to say yes, and my premium will increase as a result

That's what I hoped, but I spoke to our company broker and he said I would have to declare it on any personal policies as I was the driver. So the insurers get even more - increase on company premium AND increase on my personal premium. Shocking
