Afraid not as its squeezed into half a double garage with a wide track, motorbike, lawnmower, etc in the other side... maybe once it's back on the road I'll be able to grab some photos for the V8 lovers to dribble over It's a real labour of love which started back in the late 90s with a very tired 90 hard top painted nato green which had a knackered Diesel engine & was used as a donor into which was transplanted a carb fed 3.5, the ZF box & BW transfer box by Kingsley Cross Country. After a few years the engine was past its best so rather than repair it was replaced with a 3.5 EFi a few more years passed during which it saw the hard top replaced by a rag top but still a battered nato green landie - a bit of a sleeper. One day the opportunity arose to acquire a JE Engineering race prepared 3.9 that had been destined for an AWDC comp safari racer before some rule or other got changed & made it ineligible - a no brainer really & the old landie became a real sleeper As a daily driver it was used to get to and from work until one day the driver of a 7.5T truck "didn't see it" stopped on a main road waiting to turn right & ploughed into the back of it... my brother got a few more scars, this time on the back of his head thanks to the roll cage fitted inside, and the landie got written off as uneconomical to repair. My brother bought it back & then began the rebuild. It now has a galvanised chassis, every single panel was replaced as the accident had bent the few panels which did not already carry scars from off roading, & a replacement bulkhead was also fitted. Axles were refurbished, a Janspeed exhaust fitted, safety devices roll cage, new canvas & heaps more. |

Changed the fuel pressure regulator on the TD5. SWMBO found it most amusing at the colorful language, that started as I tried to remove the bottom bolt, and got worse as the sun disappeared and the rain got heavier. Cheered myself up by going for a long test drive.

I've been making up a new loom for my spotlights, surprisingly expensive too....
Of course the last cable is static on my 90. (12v main beam) so will need to do a little outdoor soldering, heatshrinking etc. Wonder when I'll be able to do that when it isn't frozen or raining. Pleased with it though. Click image to enlarge No Guts, No Glory. đŹđ§đ´ó §ó ˘ó Ľó Žó §ó żđ´ó §ó ˘ó ˇó Źó łó żđ´ó §ó ˘ó łó Łó ´ó żđŽđŞđşđ¸â˝ď¸đ˘ď¸âď¸đ§°đŞ |

I did nothing in our Defender, but Ms Vogler used it to go to Antwerp. Yesterday a Low Emission Zone was established in the city. Our venerable '98 BMW 318tds with its 1665cc engine isn't allowed in anymore, but ironically our 2,5litre Td5 15p is fine, albeit with a financial penalty...
So we're now waiting for our Audi g-tron, which won't arrive until mid April. Joris |
