Puma EGR valve clunking
When I switch off my 2010 puma defender 90 there is a clunking noise. I'm told it is the EGR valve. Is this normal . Can I get rid of the noise. Thanks

The one option I know of isn't cheap but you do get a whole host of other benefits:

Otherwise known as a 'remap' by BAS - quite a game changer in terms of driving.

p.s.

If by 'clunk' - you mean "chacka chacka chacka" - then yes that's the EGR.

If you really mean 'clunk', then it's likely something ain't right. Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants...

That is normal EGR function, if you run some Millers diesel additive you may find it'll soften in ipits operating sound and possibly give it somewhat of a clean.
Mine is blanked and will never be an issue to me with an Alive stage 1 tune.
It will cause you problems one day both in performance and putting the dash light on $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Mine's intermittently playing-up. It's OK just now but I am hardly using her as I'm tied-up with other things (semi-mothballed just now)

This is one thing that can happen when they play-up http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic49367.html Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)
