That was one of my pet hates when I worked for hole of a company called asda, No sooner was xmas over they started with easter!! We were all like hang on the new year isn't even here! Also pushing xmas just before Halloween was over too!
One thing I have noticed though in the last 6 years, was how nasty that company got with time off etc. Glad I got out of it all last year and enjoying the xmas time off Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

Hope things improve soon. |

And DRLs. No issue with them per se, as some on the forum do, but the number of idiots who get in the car at night, see a light beam to the front and therefore omit to turn their lights on, never fails to amaze me. Young girl just two nights ago, driving down a 90kmh alpine dual carriageway with no rear lights at all. Dangerous with all the Pantechs about. No amount of tooting or waving made her put her lights on, I think she just thought I was mad/stalking her/angry etc etc. Why oh why manufacturers dont't make the rear lights come on at the same time as the DRLs is beyond me. This isn't the first car I've seen, won't be the last. Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

It's because gaytime running lights are a fashion accessory, nothing more. The problem that they claim to solve (reduced visibility during the day) doesn't exist because, as we all know, if visibility is reduced when driving you simply turn your lights on. Then you also have the ability to turn them off when visibility improves and stop off other drivers with your ridiculously bright vanity lights.
The misuse of fog lights is simply ignorance on the part of the majority of drivers. If only the police had the resources/will to pull people over for it, as well as other things like illegally spaced number plates (usually on the cars of pathetic people who need to appear like they are better off than they are) or the use of black/silver plates on non-eligible vehicles because they're 'cool'. |

I hate DRLs - no logical point, especially as mentioned when they dont light up the rear, arguably more important.
However, things like number plates and even fog lights dont bother me, doesnt hurt anyone. Although i dont think ive used them on our cars ever, remember, fog lights arent just for fog any low visibility situation can use them and some cars, appear to be fog lights but arent - just like the ones that use them as cornering lights. Did you have problems with predicted text.? Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |
