It is all down to adjustment, using the correct shims and perseverance till you get it right.
My doors close with the minimum amount of force, no slamming whatsoever. It does take a little bit of tweaking to get them right, adjusting the two hinges and the position of the catch on the striker and if needed placing a shim behind the striker or sometimes removing a shim if fitted. Also making sure that the door rubbers are fitted perfectly, in fact if you tap the door rubbers gently all the way round with a soft mallet to make sure they are seated right this can also make a big improvement. I found changing the striker plate helped with getting the doors to shut
