It was great fun. I think I'd take my own gun next time, the 30 year old double trigger/auto safety my friend lent me was a bit of a challenge to get used to (excuses, excuses). He is coming over here in November for a driven day so can make the same excuses about the old Browning 525 I'll lend him!

Some of the best shooting is up here for grouse moors and pheasant. Been shooting for a while now and always game shooting with clays over the summer to keep my aim good. 2015 Defender 110 XS Utility Santorini Black, sawtooth alloys, steps and so much more...........

Went out with my wife's cousin at the weekend:

Got another 3 woodies later too. The pheasant was my first and after a fairly ham-fisted attempt at plucking and drawing now looks like this:

Just back from 3 days grouse shooting in Norway. I say shooting but it was hunting. All kit was carried in a backpack and we walked for 7 hours day 1, 9 hours days 2 and 3 hours days 3. The bag was 6 grouse between 4 people, but it was completely irrelevant - we were in a national park, sleeping in a cabin (old shepherd's hut), swimming in the lake (with snow melt, so it was a short swim) and generally just enjoying the stunning surroundings. We were just outside of Voss, about 2 hours from Bergen. Already planning next year.....

On a Landy related note, my friend over there has a 2 year old D4 HSE Luxury and very nice it is to. New it was £130k, but after 18 months was £80k......that is some pretty special depreciation.

If you come over again, let me know, im in Bergen and have a cabin not far from Voss.

it would give me an excuse to air the Franchi. "Rafiki" 2007 110 STW - Rolling rebuild.

Our shoot has so far been a bit iffy with the birds still growing and wet weather keeping them low. I aired my 627EELL on Saturday and the wee 20 was just perfect on the higher fliers. We have held well in the drives this year so far and it will only get better and sort the men from the boys once again. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

That's a lovely little gun. I never got on with a side by side, but they are aesthetically the most beautiful!

I am surprised anyone has ever heard of the 627EELL. It drops the birds 12's don't reach. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

Hello guys, another one for having a defender for shooting. I love it ! Mostly driven days on a syndicate in Exmoor and I have also started a small shoot with a couple of friends mainly dog training, where we put down 300 ex layers this year. I've got a cocker that's about 14 months old now, so I've been training him up ready for next season.
Do some crow and pigeon decoying too, been great the last month or so as all the maize has been cut. I also get out deer stalking and foxing too. Clays on a local clay shoot that is on every other Sunday.

Nicely restored Defender

Maybe we should start posting defenders out shooting pictures on this thread ?
