Assuming they are standard 90 rear springs, they are rated at 225 ft/lbs.
Standard 90 front springs are a straight swap, and rated at 175 ft/lbs. You could fit earlier Discovery 1 standard [Not HD] front springs too ... these are rated at 150 ft/lbs, but are about an inch taller so will give a slight lift. If buying springs, go for used genuine if you can. In my experience, most aftermarket spring rates are all over the place! Every 'standard' set of Britpart I've fitted has given the motor a noticeable lift and stiffen Hope that helps Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant. |

That's great Dave, thanks. I have a set of standard fronts in storage I could try. Are they longer though / give a lift?

More or less the same length ... 90 front/rear/left/right only vary [when new] by barely half an inch or so .. Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.

Blue stripe springs (RR / Disco V8 front) Are only 130Ilbft rated if you need softer. Any thing else less then you might have to investigate custom made versions.

That's great guys thanks.
I'm going to a chap this weekend who can fit some air springs which may be better so if it's not too expensive I'll look at that as an option. Otherwise I'll try the original fronts I took off my puma, then the Disco 1 set if not soft enough. |

Cheers, I'm making up a tool box / easy access box for the A frame out of chequer plate this weekend and also fitting some heavy duty Gas struts to the lid. Bloody Land Rovers are addictive!
