You can't run a standard Puma on biodiesel - amongst other issues, injector pressures are too great for fuel to remain stable - does that answer your question? Regular diesel will contain small percentages of biodiesel - which is fine.

Not really.
I know that engines with similar pressure fuel injection systems will run on bio diesel (100%) and I know for a fact that these puma's will run at 30-35% with no apparent difference.

The North York Moors National Park [of which I'm aquainted] run all there Defenders on Biodiesel.
This includes the Puma engines.
The Biodiesel they use is directly from local North Yorkshire chip shops.
Don't know the %, but do know they vary it between winter & summer.
No problems been experienced.

(Bio proportion first)

50%/50% from April to October (give or take)

20%/80% from October to April

so there you go....
the 30-35% I been using Whistle ....
I mean have been thinking of using should be alright

do you know how many miles they use the landys for?
and are they registered for the road? - the reason I ask this is cause I just wonder if they're EU2 modified?

As far as I'm aware:-
Reckon its about 75k and they are registered on road.
Many of the previous [non puma] Defenders have done this mileage, the majority of miles on the Biodiesel mix as posted.

Thumbs Up
