hi its a common problem on pumas i have read some over threads with same problem and in work we had a customer with a vibrating gear stick, turns out its not the actually stick but the piece which the stick goes into if that helps

Wrong... they were under the tolerance and LR dealers change them if within warranty. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

yer and when they change them it happens again and now the gearstick part is on back order due to land rover inspecting the fault so no not wrong

If you pull the gator down the bottom of the stick, you then can see two clip either side, un clip then shake, you should fine the weights on the stick rattle! A simple bit of card to wedge between the stick and weights sorted mine out 90 Puma HT

I don't get the bit about pulling down the gator...? I thought you would have to pull it up to get to the gear stick clips? Can someone explain what to do?

If you pull the gaitor up you e gotta sort all the carpet or whatever you have out! It's a right pain, loads easier to pull down 90 Puma HT
