CSW Rear Sliding Window removal... help please!
Good evening... another quiz for you guys....

Im wanting to remove the rear sliding windows in my 110 CSW. These are being replaced by "locker" hatches into the rear load space.

I want to remove everything so that I can square the Radius' of the current window cut outs and then fit my hatches...

Ive looked at the windows and can't work out how I remove them.

One assumes I need to remove the external black plastic surrounds then i can remove the glass and then i can "push" the window frame into the car....

Is this the correct procedure?

How do I remove the first window surround?

Thanks
Ross

If you look on the out side frame you will.see a rubber strip. Remove the rubber strip and it will expose all the pop rivets which hold the unit in
Drill out the rivets and remove the unit. If you still want to remove the glass the frame splits in two and is held together by flush mounted screws. Remove them and pull the unit apart

They are bonded in place from 2004ish onwards as the robot which did it was transferred from the disco2 production line!

on that basis I guess it's a knife or cheese all the way round (without removing too much paint) and they 'should' just drop out?

good luck.

Dont suppose anyone has access to an exploded diagram of how the window and all its pieces fit together.
If i really do need to cut the window out by cutting through the bonding material i would be nice to know that after all that work it will just "fall" out.
