Well she passed the MOT which is good news but the paintwork has been left in an atrocious state.

Waiting to hear back from dealer on how they are going to resolve this Evil or Very Mad Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197

Looks like they have sprayed it with something like undiluted truckwash and let it dry which has then etched all the paint and plastics. You can clearly see where they have just sprayed it on, not bothered to wipe it or anything and just left it. Every single panel has marks on it like you get if brake fluid gets on paint.

Very unhappy but I am going to see how they sort it out before I name them as I want to give them every opportunity to correct it. Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197

Yesterday treated the passenger side rear chassis section with Jenolite and Dinitrol. Also did the underside of the tub. Might/get need a 2nd coat before winter.

My new (to me) Nanocom arrived Smile so time to get to grips with that.

Did a tip run and picked up some top soil, compost and horse poo. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Early start for a dash into Birmingham to collect my rear corner bumpers from the powder coaters before work. Turns out they finish products for suppliers to Land Rover. Thumbs Up

In this case a good thing. I've used them a few times over the years and the work has always been top notch. It was only today I found out they did work that ended up on JLR products 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone

In reality the tanks go anywhere they want to go, including fields with crops. Salisbury Plain is regulated in a similar way to most other rights of way, with Byways, Bridleways, etc. It also has the extra restrictions of live fire areas, which need to be adhered to strictly (!)

I stick to the normal legal rights of way unless it is to access land I have shooting rights to, but it's rare I need to do that.

It's a glorious place no matter the weather - i'm out there all through the winter but days like today are definitely to be treasured.

I adore the place and count myself extremely lucky to live here Very Happy
