Thought I'd finally clean out the back and even sweep the floor in doing so I found a can of cavity wax and as its been dry I thought it would be rude not to top up the bulkhead and doors, I proceed to take out the top hinge bolts and squirt until droplets appear on the floor, brilliant I thought now I can do the doors..... Onto the rear door as it was open; insert extension tube, squeeze and off it pops now lost to the internal cavity of the door frame never to be seen again..... B ! Oh well at least the bulkhead got a coating. Now time for a well earned ice cream 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html

After i finished work yesterday a bit earlier than i thought, so i set about replacing the Cigarette lighter socket as it had stopped working (original one) with a blue sea double usb unit, all went well, just had to file the hole a bit bigger to take the unit, that done i set about the wiring as i didnt want to use the original wires as i wanted to use it without the engine on, that sorted with a on/off switch in line and finished that this morning
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge With that finished i still a bit of time before our guest was coming, i set about fitting these, all was ok, had to do a bit trimming here and there, very pleased with them and will see how they do in the wet Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge I used a clear silicon to fill the join as that is what you can see in the pics to make sure that no water comes through 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Not quite 'today' but last weekend the defender took my friends and I up into the mountains in Ras Al Khaimah (United Arab Emirates), from where we hiked for 10hours.

Bought 18x paving slabs weighing about 16kg each home.
Not the biggest but more than enough on a warm day to load and unload! |
