I have them so they so they can't come on at all son car lights only, do exactly what the headlights do so dip when the car is in dip, main when car is in main, a hidden switch so I can have the roof lights only on (for arty Instagram photos really). They should pass the MoT which is next month...

I think you will find that to be road legal your roof lights must extinguish when your obligatory front lights (headlights) are dipped, dipped roof lights with dipped beam would not, as far as I know, be legal.

Yes that's right. They do do that, but I have the option of running them dip + dip should I be off road. Strong people are harder to kill and generally more useful!

Just doing what comes naturally - to a Defender - towing a classic Aston down to the Le Mans Classic a month ago and very well it did it too. averaged about 23 to the gallon over 1300 miles with an all up weight of around 4 tonnes - perfectly acceptable I thought. Defender never missed a beat and was beautifully stable at 90Km/Hr.

We got married last Saturday and used the Defender and my MK1 Mini Cooper as wedding cars! I think they both scrubbed up quite well.😃

Unfortunately not mine. It belongs to a friend and has been in their family for 60 years.
As for details- it is my 2015 2.2 xs utility - or isn't that the details you wanted. Laughing

Ok - it is a 1934 MkII (subsequently known as the Ulster after this car won its class in the Ards TT near Belfast) that ran at Le Mans in the 24 hour race as one of the 3 team cars that year. It was in the Heritage club at the Le Mans Classic 2016 as one of 24 race cars selected to represent the 24 hours through the ages. Also in the Heritage club was the No.2 GT40 that won 50 years ago in 1966, driven by Chris Amon & Bruce McLaren - very nice! - and what a real GT40 looks like.

Sadly, Chris Amon died last week. Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly!

Went to the Chelmsford Steam Fair. Some tidy Series 1's and a Unimog to die for. Plus other cool stuff.

Then stopped at the cafe at the giant colander place.

nicam, thanks for the history on the Aston, money can't buy that sort of history.
And, the GT40,..MY FAVOURITE car of all time, especially the big block versions. I saw Chris race several times in Aussie.
Thanks, Pickles
