I may be totally wrong here but the Tracking and radius arms are concerned with different things.
Tracking toe in or toe out by +or - is just that, moving the wheels inward or outward from dead ahead. Not sure what it should be on a permanent 4x4, rear wheel drive is I think generally toe out and front wheel drive toe in. (could be the other way!) 3 degree radius arms as I understand it is more to do with twisting the axle back into position if you have given it a lift in excess of 2" with longer springs, correcting the castor angle. Happy to be corrected but that is my basic understanding! |

Thanks Pinky, it's my lack of mechanical understanding!

Toe in gives straight line stability as the wheels are turning into each other.
Toe out gives sharper turn in with the compromise of twitchy handling in a straight line. Neutral toe to very slight toe in is best for a defender, especially considering the lift on yours ![]() 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

I have my defender setup completely road biased with lowering springs etc. Mine is 0° toe and handles / turns in lovely
