"Oil Can Sign"....Dash Waning Light?
Just noticed this warning light in the dash, which goes out a second or so after start up,...is this normal
Oil Pump recall has been done, can't remember seeing this light before, but maybe it's always been there.
What about you guys,....do you see this light, which goes out a second or so after start up?
Pickles.

if its red then yes, its your Oil pressure Light, will be on while the ignition is on, then when the pressure is seen at the sensor the light will go out, if it stays on for more than a few seconds, or if it comes on while driving then switch the engine off straight away to investigate.. My 1986 90 is currently on a full rebuild, with new chassis, Paint etc.. Very much a hybrid, TD5 Chassis, tub & bulkhead with a 200TDI and LT77 GB Painted in Stornoway Grey Smile 2 years off the road, but getting close to completion now

Mine goes out when the alternator light goes out, or if I don't wait for the glow plugs then it goes out when the engine management and glow plug lights go out.
It's so consistent I assume that's just how the logic works.
