If i go red or orange stitch it would not be anywhere as much as the Twisted one above, I would only have the single stitch on the seats like the originals. Really glad i have not rushed into this as i could have made a big mistake Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Andy 2014 Fuji 110 SW LS3 https://www.defender2.net/forum/post751233.html#751233 2014 Corris 110 SW http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40056.html My old Xtech 90 build.. http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic15681.html LS3 V8 build... http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic49051.html |

Confirmed my order today with Ian at IRB for the AP racing ultimate front and rear brakes. Should be interesting but sound good advice from IRB. Andy

Obviously over the top for the standard defender although having good stoppers is no bad thing in any car, but corners can't be cut for the ls3. The guys at twisted run the Alcon as we know but use a 365 front but the price is way over the others.

Ordered the full set of billet door handles from Croytec, going for the anodised black, prefer these to the optimill as they are are the factory shape. They won't look hugely different but another little detail to help.

Thanks for the inspiration Andy. I like this version a lot more! I'm going with the black roof now too (and a frontrunner rack.) I agonized between the 265s and 285s as well and have finally decided on the 265s solely secondary to wanting to reduce spray. Yeah I decided in the end to keep it simple and use black stitch. I can then always add some colour after on the dash binicales and cubby lids if I want. I really think little subtle details and the quality of the work matters more to me.
I have just signed off the tooling for injection moulded door grab handles, lock handles, lock pegs, roof grab handles made in automotive alloy finish plastic, this lets you buy a full set for a fraction of the cost of billet parts.
