I managed to get the underside steam cleaned on Sunday in readiness for applying the underbody protective coating. Tonight I removed the rear lights to clean all the cack that hides behind the plastic flaps at the rear of the wheel arches (these flaps are supposed to prevent this). Managed to get the blow gun in there followed by the wash gun. Hopefully all will be dry for the weekend to get her over the pit.
Lost another defendoor today so decided to make use of the filler cap strap and modify the defendoor to end up with this.
Thankfully Brendan always hands these out at the local meets Bow down

Great looking truck!

Best of luck with your undersealing - just undertook my own last weekend completing most of it and found it very rewarding and like everyone said you get very dirty!

Just cover yourself in fairy liquid after and it comes off - also make sure you cover the ground around the car too quite a bit out or you get plenty of overspray from the cavity wax as I learnt the hard way

Thankfully I'll be in a pit for the task that lies ahead. I've tackled it before on previous Defenders so overalls, filtered mask and spec's at the ready Very Happy . It's the only day of the year I'm not a ginner Laughing

The underside has now been treated and the corrosion prevention continued tonight.
Any body looking on would think I must be mad - window blocks removed, masking tape to underside of screen gutter and sealant in hand. Windscreen rubber sealed to surround and sealant applied to foam strip under gutter. Thinking about it - I am mad; I shouldn't be having to do this to a nearly new Defender Laughing

G'Day from Aussie.
What sort of sealant did you apply to the foam strip?

I use an MS polymer pu sealant which is a lot thicker than silicone. You will need to mask up the area as it is very sticky. Use a strong mixture of washing up liquid to smooth off.

OK thanks, so it just sits on top of the foam & doesn't sink in like Mr Tolleys Sealer?

That's correct, it doesn't sink.
@ Chris, I use various products in the cleaning process. When I first got this I washed using steam cleaner with a wash/wax through the snow foam gun, clayed using a Farecla mit followed by Farecla super resin wax and Farecla black top. I top up the shine with Greased Lightning showroom shine Thumbs Up
