Centre connection is earth for both sides i,e two live feeds and one earth that is joined internally to both circuits,

Perhaps best is to measure with a voltmeter the voltage to a known ground point before making the connections.
If your pre-fitted wiring loom only has two connections at the ends and none in the middle I suppose one of these will be ground and the other the positive feed. Also interesting to know is that the heated front screen is normally powered through a time limited relay which will cut the power to the heating wires after several minutes. This to prevent continuous operation. The relay that I bought for this purpose is PRC6796.
