Fog Light Playing Up!

Hi All, for reasons best known to itself, my rear fog lamp has come on and despite my best efforts won't go out! Removing the bulb holder there was some sign of corrosion, so I replaced the bulb holder with a OEM item, no improvement. A thorough dowsing of contact cleaner on loom plug hasn't improved the situation, and finally having identified the correct fuse Number 26 and removed it the light is still on! The Fog Lamp is illuminated on the dash as is the small light on the selector switch. Anyone had something similar or any good suggestions?

Towing electrics fitted? If so have a look at them as well as the plug socket tucked up behind the lights in the off side wheel arch whether tow electrics or not.

Something is back-feeding the fog lamp from another circuit.

You could try removing then replacing fuses for other circuits to try and work out where the fault lies.

But checking the tow electrics (unplugging them from the grey connector) is a good start.
