I'm amazed the other 27 EU member states aren't having a referendum to have us booted out. Sometimes I am embarrassed to be English

Final warning about the behaviour of some of you in this thread.
DISCO3 manages to discuss this topic without the insults, sarcasm and trolling. Do better, or if you can't control yourself STAY OFF THIS THREAD. If you cannot I will remove this thread and ban all referendum discussion. Or I might ban individual members. I don't want to go down that route but I am being blatantly ignored. Thank you my friend. I was not offended, I just wanted to clear things a bit. After all we both have a very deep and challenging history. Your great nation is made to lead not to follow. EU today has nothing common with the initial idea of its founders. |

To be fair we all have had bad nights out with mates and you use a peculiar comparison by this argument, also why would you wish to go back to a club that was in your example s**t, in this comparison to the EU I agree with your reasoning, however, some of the worst nights out I have had have been improved by a good kebab shop. Very fine sentiments but the possibility of any one of those becoming a reality is wishful thinking. We don't know we simply don't know no one knows and no one will ever be able to say they were right! What we do know is what we have got and that is all. I don't think its half bad at all!! I love this country and that is after 40 years of being in the common market. |

I'm confident in the fundamental and logical basis for all of them. It is all very well thinking "yeah, but it might not/won't happen" but how is giving up before trying going to be any better? You may consider it wishful thinking, but I consider it a mere collection of probabilities to weigh up on either side - the weights on the scale may be heavy or light but the balance can still change. I have 100% confidence in my ideals, else I would not have them, so there is nothing for me to lose by following them, and only regret if I do not. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

I i'm honest I'm not too interested in reading all of this thread. I've know I'll be voting and that's about all I can do bu I do have two comments to add to the mix.
1. Some woman the other day from Spain seemed to be most upset with Mr Gove about all the the taxes she'd paid into the UK inland revenue and I got the impression that she thought the UK owed her. She didn't mention why she was here. I suspect she was here for her own benefit and wasn't dragged here? Granted it might have been beneficial to the UK in which case it's worked to her and the UK which makes perfect sense. 2. Immigration seems to crop up in almost every interview / discussion and therefore I suspect there is an issue with racism. Perhaps this needs to considered and discussed rather than simply dismissed? Dismissing anything isn't the best way of resolving a problem. |

Firstly, it's only one person that thinks the place they are in is s**t. Secondly, yes kebab shops do improve things, but bizarrely they are run by Greeks and Turks who wouldn't be allowed in...... and you can't of course remain in the kebab shop forever.
