Right it's looking like it will end up being a safari equipe one or the bearmach one- has anyone got a close up photo of the lower mounting of the bearmach one so I can try and establish what I will need to modify on my Bumperettes to make it fit if I go down this route please?
I'm currently leaning towards the Bearmach one on price grounds...... If it works and people have had good experiences with durability I don't see an awful lot of point in paying more! Chris |

Click image to enlarge This one? Ignore the chequerplate, be coming off soon. There is a spacer tube which goes inside the crossmember for one of the 3 bolts. I found this to be an absolute pig to get in... but then my hands aren't small! |

These are the two nuts that keep working loose. As I said, I can't tighten anymore as it will knacker the nylon cylinder... Not sure what to do in order to stop the rattle... Click image to enlarge |

Ahhh... right. I wound the rod into the nylon enough so that is flush with it's sleeve and there was enough thread to get a nut/washer on either side of that bracket and then tightened them against each other.
You have locked the nuts against each other but there's nothing the other side of that bracket except the nylon) to tighten against, and it will always slacken off. Does that make sense? Right.... managed to get my phone in a gap to take a pic. Bit out of focus but there ya go. Click image to enlarge Mine has been like this for 5 months and hasn't budged. Yes makes sense, I think I need to dismantle this weekend then and rebuild it. Good to hear how you have fitted it though... I will be using your instructions that you kindly posted as I no longer have mine
