On my v8 90, that I bought for £2k....I'm in around £17k.
My td5 110 has had hardly nothing spent in 12months, it was mot'd today and had an advisory of a loose wheel bearing! Mrs Greeni's 90, which we have had for a week is at around £1200 so far :lol:plus £2300 on Sunday for a 'runaround town car'! It's a good job we don't smoke/drink or have kids! |

Really I'm just having everything done in one shot, rather than spreading it out over a few years. If I lived in the UK still, I'd probably do it gradually, but as I'm having to drive up from the south of France to have this done in the UK, I only want to do that journey once. Well I'll do it again in four or five years to have the Dinitrol redone probably.

Upgrades!?
![]() A few months ago I calculated first year of ownership cost me about £4500 in which I did around 10k miles. This includes EVERYTHING - fuel, tax, insurance, oils, filters, new tyres, wiper boxes, fpr, UJs, dinitrol, clutch, DMF, a few other bits... (all DIY) 45p a mile all up isn't bad though! |

I dread to think how much I have spent in repairs and fuel.
My fuel bill this year alone since Jan is over £1300! Not spent too much on "upgrades" most of them have been things like having a solid rear cross member or a non cracked head (that came to nearly £3k by the time I had paid for everything ![]() Self confessed mileage hunter ![]() |

Mine just went up again (I must stop Googling) I've decided to add a Lazer Triple R24 light bar. Mines going to look pretty similar to this, albeit a 90 version and no raised air intake.

In the five years to 1/1/16 I put £26,850.47 of fuel into my Defender's tank. ![]() ![]() There are times when being OCD with this data recording business can seriously compromise one's sanity. |

That's a great stat. Blackwolf! A whole second Defender's worth of diesel to fuel your Defender for 5 years. How many miles' worth is that?
That averages £450 / month, so must be fairly high mileage? I get it to around 2,000 miles per month / 24,000 per year? So 120k miles in the 5 year period? 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green |
