That's easy too... A level line of masking tape across the bonnet at the desired height of the letters does the trick. Then measure and mark the centre of the bonnet on the tape. On goes the first letter with its middle on that centre mark and it's base just touching the top of the masking tape Then work sideways with about a 2cm gap between the letters... Tape off, clean off any residue, the a cold one! YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

That looks stunning! I'm not normally a fan of the Bowler bumper but with the Adventure grille and Bowler steering guard it looks great. The wheels are perfect, best colour! James

I know what you mean about the bowler bumper I did a bit of soul searching but I was convinced (although slightly nervous) that the horizontal slats would be a good match after I parked next to one at Bowler. In for a penny and all that and I'm happy with the front look. Ref cost well it's all genuine Landrover main dealer with receipts. I'm sure the prices are well documented with a bit of discount and bowler equipment is priced on their web. If you want pounds shillings and pence pm me and I shall dig out the paperwork. I'm still considering adventure led headlights but lr really couldn't do anything with the price at @£750 each Oem,Nolden?,are @£500 a pair I believe. Still not convinced it needs them. Although we cannot afford street lighting locally. The standards do leave a black hole in front of the car on main but perhaps a wiring rejig to include dip with main plus wire upgrade would eliminate the empty void in my life ? Anyone done this that lives out of town?

Short road trip. A Defenders not just for Chrismas.
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Ps I've noticed lots of people ask about range. I can tell you as fact that at 130kph on the gps 90mph on the speedo a 2.2 110 will do 347miles. The last 20, yes only 20, will be with the fuel light on. The final 5.7miles of the 20 will be in fuel "safe" ecm induced surge mode at 60mph. it never did cut completely |

Looks stunning still. How's the slickshift? Saw it released last week and have added it to my ever extending list, is it worth having?
Never did ask the Bowler tune... 170HP with intercooler? Hi. Find myself an honest talker....love it or hate it!!!! The remap is great.well worth the upgrade. Will cruise at 130kph quite comfortably in Europe but the fuel consumption was poor at this speed. Little over 20mpg. 170 I suspect is wishful thinking but yes that's the one and yes I would recommend no problem.👍. Allisport inter cooler fitted later by myself direct from Allisport. I was concerned about egt due to the dpf raised temps and an expected euro trip with altitude and summer temps. I have to confess a vested interest here as I have previous racing history with Allisport never giving anything but excellent service. Again I would recommend no problem. 👍
Slick shift is also a vast improvement on standard throw but I notice the gate from 3-4 to 5-6 is slow/ tight. It's ok from 1-2 to 3-4 Also reverse is a little more effort. I'm hoping it will slacken in use. Fitting instructions non existent but reasonably straightforward if your into spanner work. The reason for fitting is my other half finds reverse in particular, along with general gear throw, irritates a bad shoulder joint so that's not a great step forward at the moment. Watch this space....... |

I should saw JOW I notice your only in Suffolk. If you ever want to try before committing feel free to have a short drive up and have a go. ( it's a nice holiday type village)👌🏻 I'm currently on the slow process of looking at brakes and suspension work.

Hi John, thanks that's interesting to hear, please keep us updated on how the slickshift beds in.
Thanks very much for the offer but I'm not sure I'd dare drive yours, I'm already rather envious without actually driving it! If you know any nice green lanes up your way though it would be good to go out for a drive? We're often up on the North Norfolk coast with the kids. I can't add anything from experience on the brakes and suspension, but lots on here Def2. From my reading I'd be going down the AP Racing brake route and Alive have just brought out their suspension for the 110. Obviously you have Bowler and Twisted options, but I'm sure I'm not telling you anything you don't' already know.
