Nut loose on the check strap? I know it's not meant to be tight, tight, but mine started to back off which meant there was excessive play, resulting in a twang followed by a crack as it fully extended and the side of the hole hit the thread of the bolt.

The window sliding gutter is held by a small self taping screw at the bottom, mine got loose and the entire mechanism was rattling inside the door just like you described.

I had the same on mine. There was a little guidance for the door closing mechanism sticked to the inside of the door (you have to remove the door panel and the black cover on the inside). The glue came off and caused the metal rod it should hold in place to bang to the door every time the door was closed. The easy fix was to take a piece of double-sided tape and stick it back on. . _____
