Okay, a rather large update since I haven't posted in forever.
I don't have too many specific pictures of mods done so I will try to list them alongside some general pics. Gwyn Lewis mudflap re-locator kit fitted to the front after I lost a brittle front mudflap off roading. After a watery scare off road I fitted a Mantec snorkel, grafted onto a 100mm spigot, to allow for a watertight seal between wing and airbox. I have a 102mm silicone pipe between snorkel and airbox. Also got an Alive ATRIC remap, the difference is unbelievable although I think I'm ready for an uprated intercooler now. I also really fancy a hybrid turbo but they are quite spendy! Click image to enlarge 1-2" lift from a full set of RR classic springs and spring isolators. This has made the ride a whole lot better than standard and means that the 285s don't catch under the rear tub on full articulation (still got the standard ARBs fitted). Soft A bar (modified to sit closer to the grill as my 90 doesn't have an air con front end) and 22" LED light bar Black "Defender" bonnet letters and black "Defender" decal on rear Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Also wrapped the wheelarches, bumper, headlamp surrounds and wing mirror backs in gloss black. Fitted a first four steering guard with built in recovery points. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Black leather dash tops and grab handle with white stitch added. And finally got myself some sawtooths! Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Tom @tditomprice 100” Defender Hybrid 2010 Alaska White 90 HT |

The vinyl wrap on wheel arches looks great, is that a kit that you can buy?

You can just buy the wrap on a roll, I got mine from eBay.
Then you just stick it on and use heat from a heat gun to stretch it around the contours. Tom @tditomprice 100” Defender Hybrid 2010 Alaska White 90 HT |

Just read your thread from the beging Tom, great read and what you have done so far is awesome, IMHO the roof looks better white, if you black it, it will be too much, great work and the fun you are having with your landy 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

Thanks Clayton, I'm still in two minds about the roof but I've got other things I want to spend my money on first before that gets looked at.
I had a slight issue over the weekend whilst visiting my parents back in Doncaster. After coming off the M62 every time the turbo went on boost I got the dreaded "squeal". After a quick look on Friday night I spotted that one of the turbo to manifold studs had snapped. Luckily I'd brought my toolbox home with me so I had a drive over to LRS however they didn't have a stud, nut or gasket in stock. I made a trip to the main dealers in Doncaster who managed to find a stud but not a nut or gasket. I whipped the manifold off the truck and easy-out'd the snapped stud, fitted the new stud, locked two standard M8 nuts together and hoped that the old gasket would still have some of it's gasketing properties to get me by for the weekend and the trip home. Luckily that solved the issue and I ordered a Nak special gasket from Brendan and Barbara to replace the old one this week when it arrives. Just a short update on the truck. I've bought some led headlamps, these were only some "no name" eBay jobbies but I liked the drl feature in them. They're plenty bright enough and much better than the standard Land Rover fitment so would definitely recommend them.
Click image to enlarge I also got myself the new puma slickshift kit last week and fitted it over the weekend after hearing so many good reports about their R380 offering. The gear change is a lot shorter now, I'd say distance between first and second is about the distance that it used to be from first to neutral. It makes the gear change a lot better and feels much more like driving a modern car, allowing you to get up the gears much quicker. You do however have to use a bit more pressure to engage gears due to the decrease leverage but, although it is noticeable, you get used to it pretty quickly. I didn't really have any gear change issues before fitting the kit but I did notice that the nylon "ball" on the old shifter had cracked, I've also seen pictures of other people's balls ( ) that have completely disintegrated which probably could lead to issues. The slickshift does away with the nylon ball and has a machined stainless ball instead.
