I think its like almost any other 'extras' most of us to fit to our cars, We don't actually need them or they don't 'do' anything it just makes it more personal Smile

Here's another as you like them.... Wink on a heritage model

I've just noticed the Land rover plaque on that picture....oooh that's nice.

Are they heritage gear sticks, or aftermarket?
Quite like them.

I think the yellow and red collars fitted to the Heritage were an attempt to hark back to the old Series Hi/Low lever and 4 wheel drive lever, which of course were red and yellow respectively.

Not sure about the others though.........bling maybe? Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....

RED-DOT, you sound like a very boring person.

Keep everything bog standard, never modify or change anything.

Never ever do anything just for the pleasure of it, only what is strictly necessary and absolutely inevitable or mandatory.

A bit sad Rolling Eyes

Lighten up chap, perhaps at face value it is not obvious but it really is all rather humorous Wink Steve.

Really? Are you a psycologist? If so you need to look at folk that put rubber bands on gearsticks. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

LR do it to the models they sold..... so I don't think I'm that mad...

I might have been mad when I swapped a Merc for the Defender but I love it and I love changing bits on it.

I'm not taking the bait I quite like the banter.

Back in the old days, they denoted the gear and transfer sticks, red and yellow.

Were included in the run out models as a throw back.
