I don't have the specific measurements to hand I'm afraid as I now have a 110 but what I would say is do not do what the PO of my first 90 did when installing sliding side windows. He fitted them dead square in the panel, which is fine until you try and fit the interior trim and find that LR fitted the windows slightly offset.
Hopefully someone with a factory 90SW will be able to give you the exact measurements, in case you plan to fit the nice interior trims as well. |

Hello NFIN02
Others may know definitively or you can check with the DVLA (as I once did) regarding the classification of the Vehicle between the DVLA and HMRC. I considered doing this to my first Land Rover a 1977 Series III Hard Top. I owned this in 1989 and sold it in 1994 (buying a new 300tdi CSW). At the time if I 'converted' the SIII with side windows (I also wanted rear bench seats) i.e converting a Commercial Vehicle into a 'Car' in the eyes of the DVLA this meant that the VAT claimed back originally now becomes due... My memory was that Side Windows were the key 'cross-over' point, between Commercial and Car for this VAT 'trap'... Worth checking... https://www.mytipsandadvice.co.uk/2019-03/...EU09050401 SKIP https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic83242.html |
