Nudge bar/ A bar brackets

All,

I've got a nudgebar (VUB501770 ) and am trying to find some of the brackets for it. (I've put a wanted advert up for what I think I need). I'm only using the main A bar, not the wrap around headlight bits.

But there are quite a few similar genuine nudge bars, and it seems there are 2 fitting kits.

VUB501800 (which looks like they are for the wrap around nudge bars)
and
LR005236 (Which are for the 'A' bar type ones).

Does anyone know (or can check) if the main brackets in these two kits are the same? I appreciate that VUB501800 has a couple of captive nuts and smaller bits for the headlight pieces, but I'm only interested in the brackets that hold on the main 'A' bar.

Alternatively, does anyone remanufacture the lower bumper brackets? I know flat dog sell the upper ones, but I've not seen anywhere that does the lower ones (which are the ones I'm missing).

I have some old photos of the A-bar I removed from the truck. Not easy to tell however I think the lower image of VUB501800 looks the closest match.

The image of the spotlight shows the brackets that mount on the underside of the top bar mount to add lights.

I remember there being a thread on this forum of a member who got his lower brackets remanufactured. I think he may even have the CAD file and was happily sharing it to others. Would be worth having a search for that

Thanks for the photos Bev. It's hard to be sure exactly which ones, but it's helpful to have some pics of them fitted.

Smyles, that does sound interesting. I have already had a bit of a search about, but didn't come across that thread. I'll go have another look

Those lower brackets are utter rubbish, they rust and trap moisture between themselves and the bumper....

Completely agree. YRM need to make stainless replacements...

I reckon there would be literally dozens of sales...

update on this:

I spoke to YRM, but it's not something they wish to undertake at this time.

Looking at the pics in this thread (and other threads on the same subject), I'm less convinced that the brackets are all the same.

When I get a chance to look into it properly, I'll come back and update this.

I'm considering having some made up in stainless. I'm loathed to fit the standard ones if they rust so badly.

does anyone have any brackets they could loan me for measuring, condition not important (as long as they are still the same shape!)

Alternatively, if someone is prepared to take some clear photo's and measurements?

I've search around the forum quite a bit, and can't find the detail of the member who previously had a CAD file of them. If anyone knows who that was, then that might help a bit.
