Modulars - how are they distinguished! | |
Having seen an ad' or two for Modulars recently I'm confused and need some educating from the assembled collective.
What is a "modular"?
I thought it was a steel wheel with an interchangeable centre so offset / PCD could be changed. However, I have seen ones advertised that are a welded construction so no alterations possible.
I presume I'm just not very bright ![Thumbs Up Thumbs Up](images/smiles/icon_thumbs.gif)

Not sure where the name comes from, but modulars as you've found out are cheap steel wheels which come in various styles (mostly relating to the holes), sizes (15/16" and 7"-10" width) and offsets (-35>+ . I'd assume most if not all come from China etc. I've got a set on my defender and they've done a great job standing up to some abuse 😀
