It definitely wasn't a 'stunt' to get ratings FFS. They just were doing what Ken Block always does (and is highly skilled at) over a large area of central London, on a number of roads. It wasn't as if they did donuts around the cenotaph or urinated on it. They just used a section of (closed) road from which the cenotaph could (just about) be seen.
me off that people get wound up by stuff like this. We used to aspire to greater, and to tackle real problems. Now so many people are nothing more than gossiping controversy hunters. People should get outside and see the real world. Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

As an addendum, this is a prime example of where the UK is heading in terms of PC b*ll*cks. It's other people (in this instance) being offended on my behalf as a former member of HM Forces. Much like the normally white, likely Christian, probably liberal and most certainly wet council and teaching staff who feel offended on behalf of Muslim and other immigrants and ban Christmas in schools and council premises. It's just unbelievable. The U.K. is now the land of the PC Jobsworth Monsieur Le Grenadier

I agree they weren't doing anything to or taking the Mick out of the memorial. As for the the license fee top gear brings in more than all of the members of this forum put together.
It is a great back ground to have, it's Westminster people travel from all sides of the globe to see it. Letting Ken Block do stunts there I don't see the problem. |

As a matter of interest would doing doughnuts on a tarmac road either cause damage to the road surface or prove dangerous to subsequent road users. Am particularly thinking of cyclist/motorcyclists and the danger of the machine sliding away from the rider.
If possible danger to other road users then I would object wherever the stunt was carried out. Brendan |

I think by now most on here know what I do and I have to say this IS a problem for me and that problem is I didn't get a go Ken is a great driver and I would love to go as a passenger with him.
As Grenadier has said the forces are mainly mad people who enjoy anything that gives them a rush of adrenalin, and they can do some very stupid acts, some of which I would class as worse than this. Back to the point this was not aimed at the memorial or our fallen and I would like to think this new top gear crew will have the same respect for our forces as the old crew (Jeremy especially) had. Now all this talk of our fallen, thank you for your loyal comitment and self sacrifice.
