Mark,
I would be interested to know more, about both the autobox and the air suspension. Are you still impressed with the autobox? Have you tried it off road, particularly with respect to its ability to hold a chosen gear in low range? Was the tune done by JE specifically to complement the autobox or was it a general tune by BAS, Alive etc? I saw an advert for ACHSV air suspension in April's Land Rover Monthly and it stated that the access height was 4" lower than standard, which seemed huge to me. Do you know what the overall height of your truck is at access height? It may solve many garage access problems. How do you find the ride and handling, both on road and off? Loads of questions there, sorry Gary |

My 90 is auto, I've had auto v8 Land Rovers before and if I knew that I was keeping my 110, I'd convert that too.

Greeni - could possibly see the argument in a sports car but for an old bus like a defender then I would say an auto box actually improves the enjoyment on road.
Offroad an automatic is peerless. |

Totally, for example..
E46 M3 auto = BAD, one to avoid. E92 M3 auto = GOOD, one to buy. |

Hi Mark
Many thanks for the info. Sounds like they have transformed your truck. I would love to give it a try, alas you are probably a little far from me in Lincolnshire, and I would probably find it difficult to hand it back to you after! All the best Gary |

Forgot to say im lost between kahn , icon , twisted and je ( je the only one with 6 speeds the rest are 4 speeds ) cost isn't an issue i just want a gearbox with no problems as i will ship the car to Qatar and over here there isn't any good garage or maintenance center for the defender at all .
Thanks |
