grafty99, what are you running in your lower dash for speakers?

They're 130mm edge components. Just cheap ones from halfords but they don't sound too bad. Eventually I'll do a full blown focal setup Mr. Green 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

If I did decide to fit speakers in the lower part of the dash what size holes would need to be cut? 1999 Defender TD5 110

I fitted Focal tweeters,in the same place as Pumas.Think I used a 40mm hole saw for an absolute perfect fit, didn't need mastic or anything!!
Also fitted 5 1/4 inch (130mm) speakers in place of the originals (4 inch,100mm),only needed to slightly widen the original holes,(+25mm mdf speaker rings).Trim the thin foam and easily snip the 1mm metal backing with cheapo wire cutters/tin snips. Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5.

Thanks JimBob7. For those Defenders without speakers (Poverty spec?) do the dashboards come marked where the speakers need to go? I.e is there a moulding mark somewhere? 1999 Defender TD5 110

No Td5s had tweeters on top of the dash and there are no marks to tell you where to put them, I just spaced them equally from each end so they looked OK. Ray

Ah ok so you basically piggy back onto the main speaker connection or join the wires together?

On my TD5 110 I have speakers just above the B Pillar in the headling and that's it. Now got a pair of tweeters but where to fit and how?
Do these wire in direct from the speaker feeds, so into the speaker with two wires and then two wires out into the tweeter?

They sound good what were they make/model wise?
